Wes Cates
THE QB
No. 17 Michael Bishop: There's nothing really statistically appealing about his game -- fact is, he's got a completion percentage under 50 and was just 10 of 24 last week -- but there is little arguing with Bishop's results. Including last year's run with the Argos and last week's Labour Day win, he's now 12-1 in his last 13 regular-season games as a CFL starter.
Quick take: What he did effectively last week -- while working with a receiving corps decimated by injury -- was move around the pocket to buy time and not put the Riders' defence in awful field position. He's also a better scrambler than he gets credit for: He ran 11 times for 51 yards and a score on Labour Day.
Lance Frazier
OFFENSIVE WEAPONRY
No. 20 Wes Cates, RB: He's given up the rushing lead to Montreal's Avon Cobourne by 14 yards (815 to 801), but remains a dangerous dual threat: his 31 catches for 370 yards also leads the Riders.
No. 7 Weston Dressler, Rec: Was knocked silly by Ian Logan last week, but should return. UND rookie has 11 catches for 231 yards, but three of those receptions have been for scores.
DEFENSIVE STOPPERS
No. 42 Anton McKenzie, LB: Exceptional sideline-to-sideline guy; tied for CFL tackle lead with teammate Sean Lucas and has two forced fumbles and two interceptions.
No. 15 Lance Frazier, DB: Leads the CFL with five interceptions.
THE SPECIALISTS
No. 10 Luca Congi, K: Having a superb season, having hit on 20 of his 23 (87 per cent) field-goal tries.
No. 18 Vincent Marshall, KR: Stepped up last week with all the Rider injuries and returned one kickoff for 31 yards and four punts for 55 yards.
