Concept – What is it?
The NHL Classic DVD Collection is a series of 8 DVDs, featuring some of the greatest moments in hockey history. The collection is officially licensed by the NHL and Warner Bros.
Each DVD is placed into a color wallet featuring product and price information, etc then will be sealed in a clear cellophane bag.
These DVDs will be housed in a full-color, glossy collectors album that includes information on the collection and a special place to hold all 8 DVDs.
There is 1 DVD to collect each Saturday for 8 weeks.
Mechanics – How does it work?
To launch the collection, the first DVD coupon will appear in the Winnipeg Free Press on Saturday, October 27, 2007. Readers cut out the coupon and present it at any participating retailer to purchase their first DVD for only $4.99 plus tax. Readers automatically receive the FREE Album with purchase of the first DVD (Album comes packaged together with first DVD). While supplies last.
On launch day, Saturday, October 27, full instructions on how to complete the DVD collection will appear in the Winnipeg Free Press.
DVD Coupons will continue each Saturday for a total of 8 weeks. Readers cut out the coupon and present it at any participating retailer to purchase a DVD for $4.99 plus tax.
A different NHL DVD will be released/available each week for the 8 weeks.
Each of the 8 DVDs have different content – refer to release order for titles.
Readers will be able to collect all 8 DVDs and everyone who buys the DVDs each week, will be able to complete their set.

Yes you can just go to the newspaper office. Subject to availability you will be able to purchase your first DVD and automatically receive the Free Album without purchasing the newspaper.

How do I collect the DVDs?
Simply buy the Winnipeg Free Press each Saturday, cut out the ‘DVD Coupon’ and take to any participating retailer. You can buy that week’s DVD for only $4.99 (plus tax). There is a new NHL DVD released each Saturday and the very first DVD will be available on Saturday, October 27, while supplies last. Original coupons only, facsimiles or photocopies will not be accepted.

How many DVD are there in a set?
There are 8 DVDs in a set.
How much do the DVDs cost?
The DVDs are $4.99 each (plus tax) with an original newspaper coupon.
Can I purchase the whole collection at once?
NO, the DVDs are released one per week and you need one coupon from the newspaper to buy that week’s DVD for $4.99 (plus tax). (PressCard Holders can call 697–7001 or 1–800–542–8900 for details on how to order your complete set)
Can I buy the DVD without the newspaper coupon?
Yes, just go to the newspaper office and subject to availability you will be able to purchase that week’s DVD for $4.99 (plus tax) without the newspaper coupon.

I missed a day for coupon X, how can I get that DVD?
You can go to a participating retailer and if you have a coupon from another day’s newspaper you will be able to buy a DVD that you have missed only if it was already released on a previous week, and if they have the stock available.

We sincerely apologize for this – the promotion has been extremely popular and unfortunately these things can happen if you take the newspaper to the newspaper office, we will replace it for you.

Why can’t I get the album / DVDs at XXX retailer?
The collection is available at select participating retailers only.

How do I put my DVDs in the album?
Instructions on how to place DVDs in Album:
1. Remove the DVD from the wallet by sliding it out from the pocket.
2. Turn to the DVDs page of your album. Each spot is reserved and labelled for a particular DVD title. There are 8 DVDs in all, starting on Saturday, October 27 and ending on Saturday, December 15.
3. Line up the hole in the middle of the DVD above the plastic tab.
4. Press down on the DVD to snap it into place on the plastic tab.
5. Rotate the DVD until it is in the correct upright position.
Can I get a refund?
No – there is a non-refundable policy.
