A heavy-equipment operator injured in a rollover accident Friday afternoon at a Garven Road quarry has died.
RCMP officers and a search-and-rescue team were called to the quarry in the RM of Springfield just after 3 p.m. yesterday after an excavating machine tipped over into a large pit filled with water.

Oakbank RCMP are still investigating the accident, and are withholding the man's name until they notify the next of kin. RCMP are back at the scene today.
