Canexus Income Fund (TSX:CUS.UN) said Thursday it operating subsidiary earned $9.5 million in its latest quarter compared with $17.5 million a year ago.
The fund said the Canexus Limited Partnership, in which it indirectly owns 37.9 per cent, earned quarterly revenue was $110.8 million, up from $99.2 million.
"Our second-quarter performance keeps us on track with the improved guidance announced in April," president and chief executive Gary Kubera said in statement.
"In the quarter there was good progress from each of our business units. The Brandon plant expansion continues to exceed expectations with operating rates above design."
Canexus produces sodium chlorate and chlor-alkali products for the pulp and paper and water treatment industries. The company has five plants in Canada and one in Brazil.
